We have a large out door space with lots of fun activities available. The children love spending time in the mud kitchen making mud pies and leaf tea. Our wendy house is always a favourite and we theme it depending on what theme we have for the half term. Some of the themes we have had are spooky house and stick mans tree.
Our other garden more of a quiet area where we can enjoy and explore nature and spend time listening to stories.
We offer a variety of fun activities inside and out of Little Learners.
Children take part in events such as Chinese New Year, Christmas, Diwali.
We also have themed weeks where we focus on people that help us, the gruffalo, nature and many more.
Other fun activities include:
Annual Summer Outing
Visits into St Lawrence School
At Little Learners we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage which defines the seven areas of learning for children aged 0-5 years as:
We use the children's interests as a foundation on which to introduce these areas, so that they learn whilst playing with all the things they know and love.

Records and Assessment
In line with EYFS guidelines, your child will be observed and assessed throughout their time at Preschool. A member of staff, known as a Key Worker, will fill out a “Learning Journey” file for your child, which will include information on their achievements and progress. The file will contain photos of them doing activities and some of the things they have made or drawn. Your child’s file is always available for you to look through and also add to with things from home such as pictures and photos of home activities.
Developmental information is passed on to your child’s primary school when your child leaves Preschool.
