For 2 year olds
Some families in England may be entitled to 15 hours free childcare or early education per week for their 2 year old child. Funding starts from the term after their second birthday. You may be eligible if you received some form of benefits, including:
For 3 and 4 year olds
All children aged 3 or 4 in England are entitled to 15 hours free childcare or early education per week (term time) as part of the Governments Universal Nursery Grant Scheme. Funding commences from the beginning of the term after their third birthday.
30 hours entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds

Early Year Pupil Premium (EYPP)
Early years pupil premium was introduced to try and close the gap between disadvantaged children and their peers. Funding is paid via the Nursery Grant scheme directly to us if parents complete the funding agreement and include their National Insurance Number.

For a child who attends for 15 hours a week, the value is approximately £300 a year. Settings have the freedom to use this money on whatever resources they feel will best support disadvantaged children in their care.
So far at Little Learners we have used our EYPP in the following ways:
